Happy Birfday Monkima!

Today is Monica's birthday!!!! She's 40, but, seriously, looks like she is still in her twenties. For those of you who don't know Monica, or just don't know her well, listen up, because this is my day to brag about her.

Monica is the oldest in our family and, as such, is the role model we all aspire to be like. She and her husband, Benny, have six kids, Nate (currently serving an LDS mission in Ventura, CA), Kayla (currently living in Provo, attending LDSBC), Marcus (who is famous for telling us, when he was 3, that he is a vegetable and fruit eating man), Jacob (the charmer), Brandon (Big Brandon's little buddy), and Lia (who loves to teach everyone sign language- if she doesn't know that particular word, she doesn't let that stop her and will make something up). Monica is an incredible mother and has not only taught her children manners, obedience, and respect, but she devotes so much to home-schooling the younger ones and introducing them to the world around them. Aside from her devotion to her family, she is devoted to the Church, giving her time, talents and service as needed, always going above and beyond what is asked of her. Monica has a personality that seems to mesh well with everyone. Her sense of humor is contagious and I enjoy spending time with her, whenever I can. She is also a wonderful house guest. She was nice enough to visit us in Florida twice, one of those times was when Brandon was sick, and she was constantly doing chores! I remember running out for something and when I came back, she was mowing our lawn in heels! lol That's Monica in a nutshell: always giving service and looking good when she does it. Monica, we love you so much and hope you are having a wonderful birthday! We can't wait to see you next week!!!
