Gettysburg, PA
Since we were stranded in the hotel last weekend, with nothing to do, we thought it would be fun to drive up to Gettysburg to see the battlefields. So, we hopped in my car and drove the 30-45 minutes it takes to get there and we had so much fun! We didn't do much more than cruise around the "Auto Tour", which is a series of roads that go through and/or around the battlefields and monuments. There was so much to see and learn. Being there was like stepping back in time and when we stood in the fields, knowing that this is where brothers fought brothers and people gave their lives for what they believed in, we were in awe and hushed by a feeling of reverence. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Gettysburg, I highly recommend it. There are also lots of really neat little bed & breakfasts up there to stay in. I think we'll do that one weekend in October when we go up to do a candlelit ghost tour. So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite shots from our day trip.
