Ward Service Project

This morning we had a blast at the ward service project. We cleaned up the landscaping at this little park at a therapeutic horse ranch. They use horseback riding as a form of therapy for special needs, disabled, and injured kids/adults. It was a busy day at the ranch and a busy day for us volunteers. I brought my camera along just in case, but I did spend most of my time actually helping. Surprised? Ha ha. Actually, I got down and dirty and I have the cuts, scrapes, and embedded dirt to prove it. ;) It was a lot of fun, though, and I'm glad we were able to participate (because we always need the blessings).

The Primary had a good turn out and were very helpful, too!:

Some very special kids getting to go for a ride:
Robert found an unattended shovel and made good use of it. He was very helpful at spreading around the mulch that had just been spread around. ;):(I got a lot of great pics of Robert and will be posting some on my photography blog soon)

We had a great day!

Looks like a lot of fun! I don't think we've had a service project like that in years. Hope you're enjoying your Fall, it's so beautiful back East.
